A Little Bit About Me

Monisa (G.E.A. Monisa) is a registered, chestnut arabian mare, and stands roughly 15hh. She came into care in emaciated condition and needed several months to recover and gain weight. She is 26 years old, but not ready to retire just yet! She ties, stands well for the vet and the farrier, trailers well, and is generally a very nice, gentle mare. She has excellent ground manners and seems to be safe under saddle. We believe she was primarily used for trail rides in the past, as she is calm and sweet, but she isn't very reactive to leg pressure or reins. She seems like she would do very well being ponied behind another horse.

Monisa doesn't have much grinding surface left on her teeth, so the useable teeth get sharp quickly and she requires dental floats every 6 months or so. She is up to date on vaccines and de-worming.

Location: Kamloops (in foster)
Adoption Fee: $500
